It is interesting to learn that this part of the the river is now a sanctuary cum nursery area. We took so few fish from here actually but it makes very good sense to protect it. Other since out time seemed to have really worked this area over.
The surf is still there even if it is a very dangerous stretch of beach for kids to go fishing on without supervision. Hey, but we did and survived! Thinking back it could have been very, very different today risk adverse as we are.
